Enabling Tracking of your Vehicle

Creating a Live Network Account

As a CoPilot user, you can create an account on our website that allows you to join the CoPilot Live Network. Then your family, friends, and coworkers can �see� you and communicate with you anywhere in the world!

1. Go to http://live.alk.com/
2. Click �Your Account� and follow the link to create a new account.
3. Enter your 25-character product key that came with your CoPilot Live software and fill in the necessary information.
4. Create a Username and password.
5. Enter this username and password, along with a screen name, to sign in to the CoPilot Live network.

CoPilot Live | Pocket PC Users

Follow these instructions to log in to the CoPilot Live Network on your desktop computer and your Pocket PC:

On your desktop or laptop computer:

1. Open CoPilot in Planning Mode and click on the �Tools� menu.
2. Select �Options� and click on the �Live� tab.
3. Check �Enable Live Network� and �Enable Messenger�.
4. Enter a screen name that identifies you on that computer. You can change this anytime. This name does not have to be unique.
5. Check �Use Account Login�.
6. Fill in the Username and password that you created on our website, http://live.alk.com/.
7. Click �OK�.

On your Pocket PC:

1. Open CoPilot and tap the �Tools� menu.
2. Select �Live�.
3. On the �Connection� tab, check �Enable Live Communications�. Configure your Internet connection and tap �Connect�.
4. On the �Messenger� tab, check �Enable Messaging�.
5. Go to the �Login� tab.
6. Choose a screen name that identifies you on that Pocket PC.
7. Enter the same Username and password that you used on your desktop or laptop computer.
8. Tap "Apply" and restart CoPilot for these settings to take effect.

CoPilot Live | Laptop & CoPilot Truck | Laptop users

On your desktop or laptop computer:

1. Open CoPilot in Planning Mode and click on the �Tools� menu.
2. Select �Options� and click on the �Live� tab.
3. Check �Enable Live Network� and �Enable Messenger�.
4. Enter a screen name that identifies you on that computer. You can change this anytime. This name does not have to be unique.
5. Check �Use Account Login�.
6. Fill in the Username and password that you created on our website, http://live.alk.com/.
7. Click �OK�. Note: These changes will take effect in both Planning and Guidance mode.

Enabling Tracking of your Vehicle

Once you log in to your account page you can create and email tracking numbers to clients, friends, family, etc. When someone signs in to the CoPilot Live website they can send you a new destination for your trip, send you a text message, or view you on the map.

They can also sign in to the CoPilot Live web site with the tracking number that you created from your online account and emailed to them. You have the option to assign expiration dates to the tracking numbers if you want to limit the period of access.
